Unlike other Swiss resorts that cater primarily to affluent holidaymakers who come to ski, the slopes in Laax are geared to a younger crowd drawn to trendier winter sports. Laax is especially popular with snowboarders and freestylers. Many are drawn to the Freestyle Academy where they can practice their moves indoors first.
